Southwest Colorado Springs is filled with such a wide expanse of activity and entertainment, you will have no trouble occupying your free time. Other attractions are the Penrose Stadium Equestrian Center, El Pomar Youth Sports Center and U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame.
You can also stop by the John May Museum and see the giant tropical insects and space exploration display.The glamour of the world famous Broadmoor Hotel attracts people from thousands of miles. A magnificent golf course, brand new convention center and riding stables are all designed with the high-class style the Broadmoor is known for.
A large portion of the southwest area is occupied by Fort Carson and NORAD, making it an ideal location for military families to call home. The Pikes Peak Community College Main Campus is located in this neighborhood as well. The southwest community is located only 45 miles from Canon City on Highway 115.
